Your year-end beneficiary designation checkup

beneficiary checkup

Now is a good time to check in on your beneficiary designations, as life events that happened in 2018 may have changed circumstances.

It's most common to have beneficiaries for each of your IRAs, your 401(k) or other retirement plans, annuities and insurance policies. Review beneficiary designation documents for each account and determine what changes you'd like to make. Send your changes to the account trustee and keep copies in your records.

If you have tax questions or need help with your designation update, call today.
